Safety and security for both students and staff are of utmost importance in Clio Area Schools. Thanks to voter support of our 2020 Bond, new locks were installed that allow anyone to instantly lock or unlock classroom doors, from the inside only, without having to find or retrieve a key. There are many examples like this that seem like small things and may go unnoticed, but that could indeed play a signicant role in keeping students and staff safe in an emergency. We appreciate the community's support.

Clio musicians performed well at District Festival. Clio Middle School and High School bands performed at Swartz Creek Saturday in the MSBOA District Festival and gave yet another reason for our Mustang Pride to shine. "We are incredibly proud of our Clio Musicians on a job well done at the MSBOA District Band Festival!" declared director of bands William Mufarreh. "There was some great music making from all of our CMS and CHS Bands, and we could not be more proud!"

Competing at Richfield Bowl over the weekend, the Mustang boys finished second in the team event Friday, punching their ticket to the State Finals. Clio racked up a total of 3645 pins, 34 short of first place Kearsley, but 10 more than third place Goodrich to secure their spot in the finals. Saturday, the boys competed as individuals with Evan Brilinski totaling 1278 for his three games, good enough for sixth place with the top seven qualifying for the State Finals. Just missing out on a spot in those finals was Clio senior Mason Collar, who finished 8th with a total of 1225. The Clio girls finished in 8th place at regionals with Alivia Knake leading the way in the individual event with her 20th place finish in the 70-bowler field. The State Finals for our Mustang boys will be this Friday and Saturday at Century Bowl in Waterford with the team event Friday and singles on Saturday.
