Originally from Millington, Dawn brings more than a decade of teaching experience to Clio High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Saginaw Valley State University with teacher certification in Mathematics and Science, along with a Special Education endorsement. Throughout her career, she has taught at Kingston, St. Paul Lutheran School, and Millington, where she has built a reputation for fostering student growth and success.
Outside of the classroom, Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. Whether it's cheering on the Saginaw Spirit or Huron Prowlers at a hockey game, or enjoying a good movie, family time is a priority. She also loves reading a wide variety of books, listening to music, and admits that watching K-dramas and anime is one of her favorite guilty pleasures.
Please join us in welcoming Dawn LaFreniere to Clio Area Schools! We are excited to have her experience, enthusiasm, and passion for science as part of the Clio High School team.

Riley joins Clio High School with five years of teaching experience, having previously taught Algebra and Special Education at Fowlerville High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in Health Education and Secondary Mathematics from Central Michigan University and later completed her master's degree in Special Education at Eastern Michigan University.
Although Riley currently lives in Flushing, Clio has always been close to home. Her husband's family has deep roots in the district, with his grandparents, mother, and siblings all graduating from Clio High School. Riley and her family recently chose to make Clio their home as they put down roots in the community, and she is excited to officially become a Mustang.
Outside of the classroom, Riley enjoys thrifting, spending time outdoors, and making memories with friends and family. She and her husband also have a six-month-old son who keeps them busy!
Please join us in welcoming Riley Hankins to Clio Area Schools. We are excited to have her experience, enthusiasm, and passion for mathematics as part of the Clio High School team!
